Jay and Alka
We loved the way that these two naturally complement each other. Alka has so much energy, always smiling and making funny faces, while Jay tends to take more serious pictures and is a lot more low-key. And yet, they fit together so perfectly—easily balancing one another out.
Their love and friendship inspired the most amazing support from the people around them, too. For example, Jay took the time to get together with his friends for a private toast and bought a bottle of rare Japanese Single Malt Scotch. The close bond that they all had as they celebrated the day was plain to see.
Their close personal friend, Sanket Patel, who was Jay’s roommate, also helped with the wedding planning. He even hired a small band to play live beats with the DJ. We were so impressed by how much he gave of himself to make sure his friends had the wedding day that they so richly deserved.
We also loved that Alka and Jay weren’t afraid to be a little offbeat and have fun. One of our favorite pictures is one where Alka walked up to Jay on the terrace and pinched him. She has the best expression in that image. It was also interesting to note that Jay opted not to wear the traditional ceremony outfit for the wedding; they decided to do their own thing instead.
Alka & Jay, thank you for asking us to be your wedding photographers. The excitement and joy that you expressed the whole day was contagious, and we loved seeing you surrounded by your amazing family and friends. We wish you nothing but the best in your future together!
