Farah and Hamid
Farah and Hamid were married on August 26th, with a ceremony and reception at the Carltun in East Meadow, New York.
From the start, it was clear to see that family was important to these two—and that these two were important to their families. The groom’s parents traveled from abroad just to be there for this important day. It was plain to see the pride in both sides of the family as Farah and Hamid said their vows to become husband and wife.
Their niece, Arryana, played an important role in the day and another memorable and touching moment by far was when the groom’s father sang a song dedicated to Farah and Hamid during the reception. There was so much love and joy shared by the family all throughout this Long Island wedding.
Farah and Hamid themselves were a joy to work with. They were incredibly laid-back and relaxed, and we were grateful to them that they were willing to run with our suggestions as we did both the photography and cinematography for their wedding.
The décor was classically elegant, with light pinks and white decorating the entire venue. It was the perfect summer wedding, with light colors and a bright sky. A spectacular arch was adorned with a gorgeous display of flowers and a beautiful fountain could be seen beyond. That same effortless elegance was present during the reception, not only in the décor but in the golden, shimmering dress the bride changed into for the reception. And of course, the groom looked so handsome in black next to her.
Hamid & Farah, thank you for trusting us with the photography and cinematography for your wedding. Your relaxed, low-key wedding was wonderful to be a part of.
